I still vividly remember the day it's
Speaker:actually etched in my mind. My dad came
Speaker:to the door to drop something off. And
Speaker:then he turned to face me, and he said
Speaker:something that floored me, that actually
Speaker:stopped me in my tracks. And I don't know
Speaker:how long the pause was, but I knew
Speaker:exactly what he meant. And I just didn't
Speaker:know how to reply it first. And I'm sure
Speaker:my reply was a little bit
Speaker:scratchy because, yeah, like I said, it
Speaker:shocked me. So today, I want to read you
Speaker:my story. I want to tell you what that
Speaker:conversation was and the impact that that
Speaker:and my dad's party had in my life.
Speaker:I'm Ian Hawkins and this is Sporty's
Speaker:life. The purpose of sport, as I
Speaker:see it, is to see your vision become a
Speaker:reality, find your voice, create
Speaker:strong connections and learn to trust
Speaker:your body.
Speaker:I drifted through the 1st 38 years of my
Speaker:life. Told myself I was happy,
Speaker:that I love my job and that life was
Speaker:good, but deep down I knew I was lying to
Speaker:myself and everything changed with
Speaker:one conversation. You
Speaker:know that money you owe me? My dad said
Speaker:to me. But yeah, he
Speaker:said, don't worry about paying it back.
Speaker:Those words shattered my heart.
Speaker:Oh, my dad's way of telling me that he
Speaker:was going to die soon.
Speaker:Passed away in 2005 and nothing makes you
Speaker:question your very existence than losing
Speaker:someone that you love. Not
Speaker:long after, I was walking through the
Speaker:same dull grey office I trudged through
Speaker:every day and the voice inside me
Speaker:asked, do you really want to keep living
Speaker:this way and restoring young like your
Speaker:dad? Are you truly happy? Do
Speaker:you actually love your job?The
Speaker:answer hit me hard no.
Speaker:And you're wanting my life to be
Speaker:different. But I had no idea how to
Speaker:change. I felt like I drifted for 30
Speaker:years waiting for someone to show me the
Speaker:way. I wanted work that made me
Speaker:come alive, something that had me buzzing
Speaker:with excitement and joy. I wanted deep,
Speaker:meaningful connections with my family. I
Speaker:wanted to be comfortable in my own skin
Speaker:and feel proud of the person I was
Speaker:becoming.
Speaker:But most of all, I wanted to live a life
Speaker:of meaning and fulfilment. I wanted to
Speaker:contribute to the world in a way that
Speaker:people would admire when my time was up.
Speaker:At my dad's funeral, people said
Speaker:incredible things about him. I couldn't
Speaker:help but wonder, what would people say
Speaker:about me?Would my life
Speaker:leave a legacy worth remembering?
Speaker:That moment sparked a powerful
Speaker:realisation. When you asked the right
Speaker:questions, you find the right answers.
Speaker:A week later, I hired my first coach,
Speaker:upgraded my mindset and said goodbye to
Speaker:the life I no longer wanted. And
Speaker:everything changed with only 38. And it
Speaker:wasn't too late. I threw myself into
Speaker:personal development and I couldn't get
Speaker:enough. I created an exciting vision for
Speaker:my future and I found the motivation to
Speaker:chase my dreams for the very first time.
Speaker:I discovered work that had me buzzing
Speaker:with joy, I built deep heart warming
Speaker:connections with my family, I healed
Speaker:internal wounds and I achieved a level of
Speaker:health. I had an experience since
Speaker:childhood and for the first time
Speaker:ever I felt a deep sense of
Speaker:inner fulfilment that nothingcould
Speaker:shake. The transformation was so
Speaker:powerful that I couldn't keep it to
Speaker:myself and I wanted to tell everyone what
Speaker:was possible for them if they did the
Speaker:same. Other people need to hear that
Speaker:change was possible for them too. Without
Speaker:even real ising it, I was discoveringmy
Speaker:purpose. I dove deep into
Speaker:process oriented coaching.
Speaker:NLP, timeline therapy and high
Speaker:performance leadership. I became a coach
Speaker:and I started helping people transform
Speaker:their lives. At the same time, that
Speaker:magnitude of my vision scared me.
Speaker:Who am I to think I can help people
Speaker:change?I'm no expert. What
Speaker:have I achieved in my life?But then I
Speaker:reflected on how far I'd come in such a
Speaker:short period of time. I reminded myself
Speaker:that coaching is my gift, that it always
Speaker:has been. And so I refocused all my
Speaker:energy into helping as many people as I
Speaker:could. Because I learned something
Speaker:powerful. When you find the right
Speaker:direction, build a vision, and commit to
Speaker:action, the universe conspires to
Speaker:help you. Life gets exciting again.
Speaker:We'll now sit here, filled with joy and
Speaker:gratitude, thinking about all the
Speaker:wonderful clients I've helped over the
Speaker:years. My client
Speaker:send me messages that warm my heart.
Speaker:Things like thank you, you've changed my
Speaker:life. And I remember that conversation,
Speaker:my dad, the moment I knew I needed to
Speaker:change my life. Today I'm living my
Speaker:dream, I'm living my purpose, my soul's
Speaker:purpose, I'm doing work that I love and
Speaker:I'm loving life. My mum is proud of me
Speaker:and I know my dad would be too. But what
Speaker:fills me with the most pride?Is I'm
Speaker:not just living a legacy, I'm inspiring
Speaker:my family to be their best every single
Speaker:day. So if you're still on the
Speaker:path to find your purpose, here's what
Speaker:I've learned. Keep going. Do the
Speaker:inner work. Live your dream. You
Speaker:can find your genius, live your purpose,
Speaker:and change your world.
Speaker:Now that's my story and.
Speaker:While I was reading that, I
Speaker:wanted to do it as I'd written it
Speaker:because. Yeah, I
Speaker:wanted to get it right.
Speaker:And one of the important things that I
Speaker:learnt over that process is the
Speaker:importance of having plans, because you
Speaker:can have goals, but unless you know what
Speaker:the plan is, then you're just wasting
Speaker:your time.
Speaker:So it's an important part of how I coach
Speaker:and I just wrapped up this week an
Speaker:incredible. 2025 planning
Speaker:session with my game plan training
Speaker:clients and it was such a game changer I
Speaker:knew I had to share with all of you as
Speaker:well. So here's why you need to
Speaker:join this session.
Speaker:And it's going to make 2025 your best
Speaker:year yet. It's going to help you get
Speaker:clear on what you want. I'll help you
Speaker:define exactly what success looks like
Speaker:for you this year. No
Speaker:fluff, just real actionable goals.
Speaker:You know, turn those goals into game
Speaker:plans or break those into
Speaker:simple, achievable steps so you can stay
Speaker:on track without the overwhelm.
Speaker:You'll be able to make decisions with
Speaker:confidence, so you'll leave the self
Speaker:doubt behind and learn how to move
Speaker:forward with clarity and conviction.
Speaker:You'll be able to build resilience and
Speaker:adapt Adaptability.
Speaker:Tongue twister so life throws your
Speaker:curveballs. I'm going to show you how to
Speaker:stay on course no matter what comes your
Speaker:way. And you're going to set yourself up
Speaker:for success, so by the end of this
Speaker:session you'll walk away with a practical
Speaker:, personalised plan to take 2025
Speaker:Bristol. Taylor uniquely to you. So if
Speaker:you're ready to make.
Speaker:2025 the best year yet to kick off this
Speaker:year with focus, confidence and a plan
Speaker:you believe in then these sessions for
Speaker:you. This is on
